A police chief says clashes in southern Afghanistan have left 13 Taliban and two policemen dead. Helmand provincial police chief Mohammad Hussein Andiwal said six other officers were wounded in the clashes. Andiwal says 10 militants were killed in Helmand's Marja district after they attacked a police checkpoint late on Tuesday and killed two officers. Five other officers were wounded in the attack. Andiwal says three militants died in another attack on the police on Tuesday that left one police officer wounded. |
