Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Founder Altaf Hussain has said that some elements were hatching conspiracies again to derail the present democratic process. He added, however, that the conspirators may benefit temporarily, but will lose at the end of the day.
Referring to drone attacks, he said that these were most unjustified since the Pakistan Army was already carrying out an operation against terrorists.
He said that it was the democratic right of the people to create more provinces but before this the recommendations given by the political parties for the provincial assemblies should be discussed in the House seriously.
He reiterated that concurrent list be abolished and provinces be given their due rights and complete provincial autonomy.
He made these demands while addressing the MQM coordination committee members who had gone to the London secretariat.
Hussain said the country was passing through a serious crisis and all parties should join hands to strengthen the present government. The country, he said, was facing serious power and water crises and prices of petroleum had been raised and all these things were a burden on common man and the raise in petrol should be reviewed, |
