The staff of Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) arrested three suspects involved in kidnapping for ransom cases from the Northern Bypass. SSP Farooq Awan of AVCC said they received information regarding the presence of criminals involved in kidnapping for ransom cases in Karachi and they were usually seen at the Northern Bypass. He deputed a police party led by SI Shahid Mehmood at the Bypass. During checking they signalled two motorcyclists to stop. Instead of stopping the motorcyclists opened fire. The police also retaliated and after a shoot-out arrested Sadam Hussain, Sikandar and Zulfiqar, while their other accomplice Saleh alias Fateh Rind, Mohammed Bux alias Chimni and Siddique Brohi managed to flee. The police have recovered three pistols and two motorcycles which they snatched on September 8 within the limits of the Baghdadi police station. Body found: The body of an eight-year-old boy who was strangled was found in the bushes near Power House at the Northern Bypass in the Mauripur police limits on Tuesday. The MLO Civil Hospital said the boy was first assaulted and then killed. The police said the deceased was first kidnapped by unknown people and after killing him they threw his body in the bushes. |
