Drunken Saudi national crushes two pedestrians |

A drunken Saudi national crushed to death two pedestrians within the jurisdiction of the Gizri Police Station. The police has arrested the accused and registered a case against him.
Rashid (25) and Amir (28) were crushed to death by a speeding car driven by a Saudi national. The police said that the incident was reported at Khayaban-i-Shehbaz, when Faisal, a Saudi national, who was drunk, was recklessly driving his car and lost control.
The police added that due to over speeding the car (AND-898) over turned and went onto the second road and hit the two pedestrians Rashid and Amir. Both the deceased were crushed to death with the wall of the under-construction building and died on the spot.
The passers-by caught hold of the accused driver and called the police. The police reached the spot and shifted the deceased and the accused driver to the hospital. During medical examination of the accused Faisal it was revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol.
The police lodged a case against him. The accused was the resident of Tauheed Commercial Area. A few years ago he came to Pakistan and married a Pakistani girl. The accused has two children and was also a student of the final year in the SMC College.
Moreover, the deceased’s relatives reached the hospital and after legal formalities took the body to Sadiqabad and told the police that both had come to Karachi to earn their livelihood a few months back and visited Defence to meet a relative living in Khayaban-e-Shehbaz. A case was registered and interrogation is underway.
LYARI GANG-WAR: Three aides of Rehman Dakait were killed, while eight injured in a gunbattle with Ghaffar Zikri group in Kalakot area.
Sources said that both the gangster groups clashed near Lyari Degree College and openly used hand-grenades and latest weapons. Due to heavy firing and throwing of hand grenades, a hand-grenade went off at the hideout of Rehman Dakait in Kalakot area.
Sources added that in the incident three aides of Rehman Dakait – Babu, Mohammed Ali and Abdul Latif – were killed, while seven were injured. |
