Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has expressed sorrow over the demise of noted Urdu poet Ahmed Faraz. In his condolence message, Khan paid tributes to Faraz’s services for Urdu literature, and said that his death was a big loss for Urdu literature. He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to sustain this irreparable loss. Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri also has expressed grief over the demise of renowned Urdu poet Ahmed Faraz. In her condolence message, she said Faraz, through his “Ghazals” inspired millions of readers and with his demise the golden era of Urdu poetry came to an end. Marri termed Faraz a true successor to Ghalib and Faiz as he gave new heights to Urdu poetry and the vacuum he leaves behind could not be filled for a very long time. She prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. |
