The Sindh government will allocate a substantial amount of funding for the development and welfare of poor people, Sindh Minister for Information Shazia Marri said. She was addressing a press conference after a meeting of ruling coalition partners. The meeting, presided over by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, reviewed the 60-day performance of the Sindh coalition government. Zardari asked all coalition partners to shun their differences and work for the progress and prosperity of the province.
Marri said that even though the present ruling coalition in Sindh was strong, it was, however, going through its teething period. The first year of any government was always a testing time, she said, adding that the present government had inherited massive problems from the past government. |
