Health Minister Dr Sagheer on Friday directed secretary health to present him a report regarding two new polio cases each in Naushehro Feroz and Jacobabad districts.

Meanwhile, the health minister has said that coordinated efforts were required to eradicate polio from the province so as to save children from the disease. He stated this while addressing a review meeting of polio campaign at his office.

He said that cooperation of civil society, stakeholders concerned, teachers and parents was essential to make the polio drive a success.

The minister noted that the parents should be informed about the importance of polio drops in preventing the disease. He said it was a reality that volunteers and staff of health departments face hardships in reaching far-flung areas of the province, but they were doing a great job by administering polio drop to them.
