After completion of proper procedure the Indian juvenile fisherman, Bhagan alias Narandra, son of Otam, will return home (Bombay) on Wednesday (today) by the flight PK-274. Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid has arranged the air ticket for the ailing boy from Karachi to Bombay.
Nasir Aslam Zahid in a statement issued on Tuesday said the persuasion of all the concerned officers was remarkable as the boy who was HIV/AIDS patient was allowed to be deported within three days time. Not only this, but consular access to other Indian fishermen confined in Karachi prisons, was also allowed by the Government of Pakistan so that they could be repatriated to India.
Bhagan, 16, originally belongs to Gujarat, India, was caught two years back while he was engaged in livelihood activity along with other fishermen. After a thorough medical checkup the doctors detected HIV/AIDS and suggested proper treatment. However, owning to quick procedure of documentation by the government authorities and help by Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid it has become possible to deport the ailing boy.
Nasir Aslam Zahid pointed out that the Pakistani fishermen, who are in Indian jails also deserve similar treatment in the interest of justice and on humanitarian grounds and they may be allowed to be deported back to Pakistan without further loss of time. |
