Pasban staged a protest demonstration outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Thursday against US aggression in Mohmand Agency and other tribal areas which caused severe damages to lives and property. The participants shouted ‘Bush and Mush (Musharraf) murdabad’ and demanded that the Pakistani government stop logistic support of America Pasban President Syed Ashraf Hussain condemned the US missile attack and accused President Musharraf of playing the part of a US spy. He further said that the country would not have faced such crisis if the judiciary was allowed to function independently. Hussain strongly condemned the killing of innocent people in Mohmand Agency, and said that the US had waged a war against the Muslim Ummah and was threatened by Islam because the latter is being rapidly promoted in the world. The Government of Pakistan, Hussain said, had formally tendered its protest to the US ambassador on a critical issue while it should have announced social boycott of the US and its products. |
