A mother of two, who was three months pregnant, was murdered on Sunday by her husband in the Baloch Colony police limits. According to the police, 30-year-old Fauzia Amber had quarelled with her husband police constable Jamshed Ahmed Khan, after which he shot her. The PC had said that his wife had committed suicide at their home in the Manzoor Colony area. However, after investigations by the police, it was found that the evidence, and statements of Amber’s family, suggested that her death was due to murder and not suicide. An FIR has been lodged on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Ansar Khan, and PC Jamshed has been arrested by the police. Further probe is under way. MISHAPS: 35-year-old Noor Ali and his friend, 35-year-old Panda Khan, died when their speeding truck (TDK-593) collided with another speeding truck on the Super Highway in the Nooriabad police limits.
