Rangers arrest 95 suspects |

The Pakistan Rangers Sindh claimed to have arrested 95 suspects during their crackdown in different parts of city against terrorists and criminals while recovering huge quantities of arms and ammunitions. According to a statement, they have recovered two Kalashnikovs, 42 pistols, seven repeaters, eight rifles and 1,396 cartages from the possession of the accused.
Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza has directed Home Secretary Sindh Arif Ahmed Khan to take steps for immediate payment of compensation to the heirs of the victims of the twin bomb blasts of Chehlum. He asked the Provincial Police Officer (PPO) Sindh to prepare a contingency plan for all government and private hospitals in the wake of the bomb blast at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) besides contacting the management of such hospitals for its effective implementation. In the contingency plan, he said, particular importance should be focused on hospitals’ boundary wall, installation of walk-through gates at main entrances, installation of close circuit cameras etc. |
