Robbery bid claims ife of girl |

A young girl was killed during a robbery bid in Quaidabad while two men were gunned down in Sohrab Goth on Thursday.
The Shah Lateef police said that three armed men barged into the residence of Ashiq Ali in street no 3 of Zafar Town near Masjid Umer Farooq.
On seeing the bandits, Ashiq’s daughter Nadia, 19, put up resistance and as a result, the bandits opened fire upon Nadia killing her on the spot.
While the robbers were busy looting, a police mobile reached the spot and an encounter took place between the bandits and the police. As a result of the cross-fire, a robber was killed while his accomplices fled under the cover of fire.
The deceased robber was identified as Saleem, 30.
SHOT DEAD: Two middle-aged men were shot dead by unidentified armed assailants near Sohrab Goth. The deceased were identified as Subhan Wali and Atiqullah. Both men were around 40 years of age.
The Federal B Area police said that both deceased were targeted by armed men when they were purchasing some articles. He said that evidences gathered from the crime scene suggested that it was not an attempt of armed robbery.
FOUND DEAD: Umair, 20, a worker at a garments shop, was found dead.
Umair received a bullet in his chest, which proved fatal. The deceased was a resident of Delhi Colony. |
