The Sindh High Court (SHC) reserved judgement on the petitions of public prosecutors against the non-issuance of their posting letters.
Hidayatullah Khan, Zarar Khan, Mohammad Anwar and others had filed identical petitions, submitting that they were declared successful by the Prosecution Service Department for the post of public prosecutors in BPS-17 and BPS-18 but despite the lapse of several months the department concerned had not issued them posting letters.
The SHC’s division bench, comprising Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Bin Yamin, after hearing the arguments of the petitioners and the government counsel, reserved the judgement.
UC Nazim case: Meanwhile, the provincial law officer sought time for submitting a detailed statement regarding cases pending against the UC Nazim Khar, Nawabshah. The petitioner submitted that he was victimized by the PPP government and false cases were being registered against him.
Granting time, the SHC’s division bench directed the AAG to submit comments on October 8. |
