The 30th monthly meeting of the SITE Town Council has approved 65 per cent increment in lieu of house rent for their employees on Wednesday.

The Naib Nazim, Union Council (UC) 6 informed the house that his area immediately needs a utility store as the local residents of the UC are forced to purchase household items and other necessary stuff at higher rates from other areas. The council unanimously approved the establishment of the utility store in the said UC.

The members of UC 4, UC 5, and UC 6 said that their collective graveyard is overcrowded and is in deplorable condition. They asked the council to pay attention on the maintenance of the graveyard. Moreover, they also said that construction of incomplete roads and garbage dumping points should be directed within UC 6. It also approved the increment in the No Objection Certificate (NOC) fees for the gas fuel pumps within Site jurisdiction.

The meeting was chaired by convenor and Naib Nazim, Syed Badshah Khan, who asked the council members to work as a team to bring fruitful results in the town. Later, the town also condoled on the death of the father of Deputy Convenor of Rabita Committee, Dr Farooq Sattar.

PPI adds: Acting Nazim, Malir Town, Sharaft Ali said on Wednesday that they had overcome water and sewerage problems in the town.
