Meri dharkanon ka farai tha,

Mujhey muskrana sikha ka wo,

Meri rooh taka ko rula gaya,

Wo ka jis ko paaney ki chah main,

Main kabhi khilta gulaab tha,

Meri patti patti bikhar gayi,

Mujhey aisi thoukar laga gaya,

Ajab shaks tha wo ay zindagi,

Jisey smajh ka bhi na smajh sakay,

Mujhey chahta bhi ghazza ka tha,

Mujhey chorr kar bhi chala gaya.
