  • 4 nos. Cake Slices
  • 1 cup Fruit, fresh or tinned
  • 150 ml Orange juice
  • 1 tbsp. Rum
  • 1 tsp. Cornflour
  • 250 gms. Cream single
  • 2 nos. Egg yolks
  • ¼cup Castor sugar
  • Few drops Vanilla essence

InstructionsInstructions  1.Arrange the cake in a lightly buttered oven proof dish and top it with fruits. 2.Pour over the orange juice and rum and bake in an oven at 375 Deg F for 10 to 15 mins. 3.Mix the corn flour with a little cream. 4.Beat the egg yolks with the remaining cream and stir in the corn flour mixture, sugar. 5.Cook this custard over a low heat stirring continously until smooth. 6.Whisk for further 3 mins until the custard is thick and glossy. 7.Add vanilla essence and pour the custard over the warm cake and serve at once.
